It’s Time To Make That Graceful Exit From Your Job
Something new is calling you, and this time, you can’t ignore it
Dear stressed-out employee,
This is a love letter — for you.
I’ve been where you are. June 2024, to be exact. That’s when I received my walking papers. Ironically, I knew that day would come.
I’ve written before about the aftermath, but right now, I want to speak to the moment you’re in — the one where you’re this close to calling out of work… for good.
I see you. I hear you.
It’s that wild, dizzying moment right before the leap — when you’re both sweating and strangely giddy. The job treats you like crap. Every day feels like “Groundhog Day.” Same mess, different Monday.
Let me guess:
The alarm jerks you out of the best dream you’ve had all week — maybe you were flying solo to some distant island (no? just me?). You hit snooze, lay there a while, wondering if it’s even worth going in today.
You think about the court date for late rent. So — you get up.
You grab a bowl of cereal. Maybe you stop for coffee. Maybe you don’t. Time is tight.
